We had our first football party of the season and invited a few fellow Aggies over to watch the game, let the pups play, and eat copious amounts of food. Here are a few pictures from the game that almost gave us all a heart attack.
Thanks for the pretty smile, Parker |
The game was close all evening, and finally in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter, it was a tied game. I think Aggies across America were freaking out, because at 38-38 with just seconds to go and the ball in our possession, it was either win with a field goal or go into overtime. We all literally held our breath as our new kicker lined up for the field goal. He made it though! Texas A&M won 41-38, and we were so relieved! The Aggies seriously gave me a cardio work-out Saturday night, but at least they pulled it off.
We are so glad it wasn't upset weekend across the board, but it seemed like there were definitely more upsets than normal on Saturday. Texas A&M takes on Auburn next week (who beat Ole Miss two weeks ago), so let's get it together please Aggies.
Did anyone else spend their Saturday almost exclusively watching football and eating goodies? No shame, no regrets :)
We did! We spent our day watching Utah vs. Stanford. Utah is both Ryan and my alma mater, and we definitely expected them to lose, but they won! It was madness - we were SO excited!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your Aggie win! :)
Yikes! That was a close game! Glad your team made it out on top! =D
ReplyDeleteIt was upset weekend for Murray State as well! We were predicted to win the football game against Southeast Missouri State, but we LOST. SEMO hasn't beaten MSU in YEARS!!!
ReplyDeleteI had no clue what an upset was until I read your post. I'm glad I learned something new today and I'm glad it didn't happen to the Aggies! I hope they do well next weekend and crush Auburn!
ReplyDeleteI did!!! Didn't stay up for the whole aggie game, but it sure was a close one :)
ReplyDeleteI almost had a heart attack and did not like that one bit.
ReplyDeleteOh my Gosh, I bet that was one of the hardest time for a die hard fan!!
ReplyDeleteUs Tigers fans are SO excited for Mizzou :) And we love our fellow former Big 12/SEC Aggies! Congrats on your win!
ReplyDeleteWow, girl. I'm glad your team won so you didn't have a heart attack. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDarling photos! looks like such a fun time!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your team came through for ya! That's a great feeling!
ReplyDeleteI felt like I absolutely HAD to comment on this post just to say YAY GO MIZZOU!!! So happy Missouri beat Georgia... that was intense (and they're my team... can you tell?! :) )
Janelle
I love football parties, and close games (when your team wins of course). Glad the Aggies pulled through for you!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how thankful I was that the Vols were on a bye week last week so I didn't have to experience my usual weekend heartbreak. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty tickled about the GA loss! Glad the Aggies pulled out the W for you! :)
