Banana Nut Bread

I love a good slice of old-fashioned banana nut bread. Today I want to share my go-to recipe that Parker and I both love. This bread makes a great breakfast, snack, or light dessert. It's just a simple, yummy recipe that I whip up anytime we have some ripe bananas on hand. Your family will love it too!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
1 egg
3 medium bananas, mashed
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom and sides of a loaf pan and set aside.
2.  In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and set aside.
3. In another bowl, combine egg, bananas, sugar, and cooking oil.
4. Add banana mixture to dry mixture. Stir just until moistened (batter should be lumpy). Fold in nuts.
5. Pour batter into your greased loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
6. Let cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan.

Enjoy!

  5. Golly that looks good! I love banana bread, but haven't made any in too long! Maybe I'll have to set aside a few bananas just for some bread.

  7. I came here to read your blog because I wanted to learn more about my homework. I'm extremely concerned about the study I'm working on because I want to accomplish it before the deadline and the assignment writer in aberdeen service helped me with it. I appreciate you sharing this information frequently. I've noticed that your blog is educational. I learned everything I needed to know from reading your post, and I feel a lot more prepared to do my research project as a result.
