There are a lot of new faces around this blog lately (so happy to have you!), so I thought we could play the get to know you game! I saw a link-up on one of my favorite blogs and naturally forgot to link-up, but she asked 10 questions that I thought were really fun. So here it goes!
1. What's Your Middle Name?
Victoria. I really love my middle name. I thought about dropping it when I got married to keep my maiden name as a middle name, but I just couldn't part with it.
2. If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would you live?
This is tough since we seem to move every other day. Right now, I'd love to live in San Diego. I don't want to live there permanently, but I would really love it if the Navy took us there for a couple of years. Ultimately, we want to end up in Texas though.

3. Tell us about your guilty pleasures.
Two words: reality television. I get into every season of the Bachelor and even started watching Are You The One? on MTV. If that's not trashy, I don't know what is, but I'm hooked! Oh, and ice cream, although I don't feel too guilty about that one. It's too delicious.

4. What do you like best about your job? If you weren't doing that, what career would you have pursued?
Hands down, the fact that I get to work from home. It's a huge blessing since we move so often, and I try not to take it for granted. I work in marketing and really like my job, but I always thought about being a prosecuting attorney growing up. I thought it sounded fascinating, but I pursued a different dream in marrying Parker. I don't think the military and law school would have been a good mix, so I am happy with the career path I chose.

5. Five items you'd grab during a fire (People and pets don't count. Those are a given.)
Phone, purse, diamond earrings made from my paternal great-grandmother's wedding ring, and a garnet ring passed down from my maternal great-grandmother. One day, I'll give that one to my daughter or granddaughter. Let's see, that's four things. I guess I'll grab a candy bar. If my house is burning down, I don't want to make it worse by being cranky.
6. Something you would never do?

Skydive. I'm not a thrill-seeker. I know my husband flies planes for a living, but I belong on the ground.
7. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Do calories count? Well regardless, my answer would probably be cereal. I never get tired of it.

8. Last person you spoke to...annnnnd...go!
My husband.
My husband.
9. Favorite childhood toy?
I really liked my nanopet growing up. Anyone remember those things? I also collected beanie babies like it was my job.
10. Breakfast cereal of choice?
Cinnamon Life. It's borderline ridiculous how much I love this stuff.

Working from home?! Awesome! That is my goal one day! Haha =)
ReplyDeleteHeck yes to ice cream.. and yes... beanie babies all day everyday. I still have mine in a box and refuse to get rid of them... because... one day they'll be worth millions, obviously. LOL
My sister works from home and loves it. Definitely the best way to work. :)
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the name Victoria. It's so pretty and old-fashioned sounding. Thanks for the fun post :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful wedding photo! Oh to work from home! How do I sign on? Um, if you all moved to San Diego and my husband and I are still here, that would be the bomb!!! I'm a native and I'm spoiled I know, but I kind of want to move :) Next year, instead of going on a foreign trip, I just want to drive up the coast of California, exploring it! There is so much. Anyways, I vote in favor of you and Parker moving to San Diego!
ReplyDeleteNonopets! I just almost spit out my lunch ! ahh ahha!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same with cereal tooo!!! I'm all over chocolate rice krispies and lucky charms...thank goodness for Weight Watchers or that's all I'd eat ;-)
ReplyDeletehahahaha the candy bar answer totally made me laugh! this is a cute post, I might have to borrow it from you :)
ReplyDeleteBahaha I loved this. And we shared a lot of the same answers, especially cereal. I am like a cereal addict. We always end up with 2 or three new boxes each week at the grocery store, and one whole shelf in our pantry is lined with probably 20 different kinds.
ReplyDeleteSuper jealous that you get to work from home! Every job I've had could be done from anywhere yet I've never had the opportunity. If you're working at a computer all day, in my opinion it can be done from anywhere :-P
ReplyDeletegirl working at home is exactly what I want to but can't seem to find a job that does that. came across one and talked to a guy but when an interview is online and the person doesn't answer your questions that's when i knew it was scam so i quit chatting with him. it was fishy. would love to see the jewelry that you had passed down to you. seems like it would look awesome
ReplyDeleteI would love to work from home and live in Texas. I can't remember the last time I had cereal but I used to live on in on college. Apple Jacks, and Fruity Pebbles were my favorite. I know it was like I was 5 yrs old.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to find a job I can do from home. We're about to be on our third move in a year!

YES. To the nanopet and beanie babies! I'm with you on never wanting to skydive, I'm not a big thrill-seeker either!
ReplyDeleteI love this!! I am addicted to reality TV too.
ReplyDeleteOMG Nanopets!! Girl I had like four of them! Ha they died allll the time LOL
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you looked stunning in your wedding portrait!
I originally wanted our baby girl's name to be Victoria after my mom who is Vicki. David said since Victoria is not her real name it didn't count. So I lost that battle!
ReplyDeleteI love this 10 Things You May Not Know thing. I might just do one later hehe. You should totally move to San Diego, CA!! Then we can meet up and be friends in real life hah!

ReplyDeleteI got way too excited when I discovered my job has the work at home option for days with bad weather! I don't think I could work at home forever though!
