Spring Is In The Air

Yesterday was the first day of Spring. To those of you who actually have seasons where you live, you are probably doing the happy dance. It's funny, I've always lived in my little bubble called "the south". What's normal for us isn't normal for most of America. I was talking to someone about our upcoming move to Virginia and how it's so cold there all the time, and she was quick to say "Oh no, it still gets hot. Virginia actually has seasons". Hmm, interesting. You mean there are places in the world that actually have a Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter? Well that's a foreign concept! Texas has three temperatures: cool, hot, and boiling. With the exception of a few cold weeks out of the year, it's hot all. the. time. As much as I love the heat, I am excited to move to a place where Spring is actually a thing. Yes, I will be fully regretting that statement come next Winter.

In honor of the new season that has everyone smiling just a little bit bigger on this fine Friday, here are my three favorite things about Spring:

sundresses
Spring break (only when I was a student; now it's just depressing)
perfect weather for walking the dog

Jenny was not impressed, but what else is new?
Those three things just make my heart smile. I asked my sponsors this month what their favorite thing about Spring is. Read all about it below!

  1. My favorite thing about spring is seeing all of the flowers and leaves grow back in. Everything looks so dreary in the winter...dead, yellow grass, naked tree branches, etc. I live near Pittsburgh so we definitely have all the seasons and I've always said I would love to live somewhere where its warm all the time. lol

My favorite thing about spring is seeing all the flowers and being able to actually enjoy taking my puppy on walks!

  3. We don't have seasons in Texas (as you know), and we lived in California for 10 years before moving here to New England. This is the first place I've ever lived with an actual 4 seasons. I don't like it. lol.

  4. I love Virginia seasons though I would appreciate if it didn't snow quite so often in winter like it has this year. I think you'll like the weather here.

  5. Haha trust me you'll regret that statement next winter ;-)

However, it's fun to experience all the seasons. I grew up with them so I bid them farewell, but for those who grew up in the south I can understand wanting to have fall foliage and play in the snow in the winter!

    Happy Friday!

  7. I've always lived somewhere with seasons and as much as I hate to admit this, I would probably miss the seasons a little bit if I moved elsewhere...That's hard to say with how awful winter has been this year! Have a great weekend!!

  8. Oh yeah does Virginia have seasons! I love them! except this year it's been crazy! It's been snowing more then it ever has, then goes hot then has gone freezing cold and raining, but the summer time is so great! I love the humidity and the summer breezes with the lightning bugs! You will love it!

  16. Lucky duck! Despite it officially being spring and the fact that my spring break began this afternoon, it is still supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow. Ugh, Colorado.

We have always lived in places with four seasons, though, so Texas should be interesting for us next year!

  17. Spring is so awesome here! It's been spectacular the days that I've been at work and cloudy/rainy on days that I'm off. Here's to hoping that tomorrow is nice so that I can enjoy the beach :)
