A lesson I learned from my mom... is to do without complaining. I've learned countless lessons from my mom, but this is one I definitely strive to emulate. She was constantly taking my three sisters and me to our after school practices, events, and social functions. I don't think she ever had a day to herself, yet she never, ever complained. I admire that and hope I can be that selfless for my children.
Getting ready on my wedding day |
To burn calories, I... sleep. Just kidding, although apparently sleeping burns more calories than sitting on the couch. To burn calories, I typically go for a run. I try to run 2-3 times a week and do a Hasfit workout at home 1-2 times a week.
My best hair day was... prom 2006. Kidding again. That day actually ranks as the worst hair day of all time. I went to my junior year prom looking like a French poodle. I guess my best hair day would be my wedding day, by default.
Twin on the left, French poodle on the right. Why did she get the pretty hair?! |
I am grateful for... Parker and Jenny, family, faith, forgiveness, health, community, friends, employment, life. We have a lot to be grateful for.
The last picture I took... was of Jenny, of course. My phone is probably 90% pictures of my dog. Sad, but true. I am the dog mom that thinks every little thing she does is adorable and snaps a picture every time she moves. To outsiders, I'm sure it's quite nauseating.

Sometimes we take selfies. She's usually not impressed by them. |
Linking up for Finish This series.
Do you also count sleeping as burning calories or photograph your pet like they're a celebrity?

BUWAHAHAHA I need more sleep. I love your responses this week, what a blessing it is to have the amazing MOMS we do. Love that woman! Thanks for joining us again for Finish This, I'm enjoying this so much with you. Blessings, Nicole (co-host)
I vote that all high school pictures be banned from judgement of hair, mmkay? Let's just put the past behind us! :)
Your mom sounds like an amazing woman!
I'm grateful for forgiveness too!
What a wonderful lady your Mom is! :)
My whole entire phone is Finn. Finn and me selfies are probably a good 30% :) No shame lady!
My mom doesn't like complainers either. She also told me not to share my problems with others. "You don't REALLY want to hear their problems and they don't REALLY want to hear yours." she says.
I'm my dogs' paparazzi. No shame in my game!
You are too funny! I don't think your hair looked that bad! I think the ringlet curls were in back in the day ;)
Pretty sure Burke takes up a HUGE majority of my phone :)
I used to take tons of pics of my cockatiel (bird) before she died in 2009. I keep finding pictures of Harleyquinn.
I try to take selfies with my dog but he wants nothing to do with it. He'll actually look away.
My mother-in-law doesn't complain. She just does. I admire her for that. Even after my father-in-law died five months ago, she just did with such strength.
Have a great week.
No one had good hair at their high school prom! lol. You still looked adorable.
That wedding day picture is so pretty!
made my way over via the Finish This link up! Your wedding pic with your mom is gorgeous, you can see how happy she is for you.... and yes, I take the most pics of my furbabies!!! PS, when I linked up I didn't see that last prompt of last photo taken, or I'd have definitely bragged about my Chico hahaha!
