Confessional Friday

Keeping it simple on the blog for this fine Friday :)

I confess... that I discovered a new way to please my obnoxious sweet tooth without consuming 10,000 calories. I cut up a pineapple, drizzled chocolate syrup over the chunks, and voila! Delicious and easy on the waist line... winning!

I confess... that I cannot believe we are already to the month of August. Teachers and kids are going back to school, and Fall is on the brain. What the heck happened to summer, and how do we get it back?

I confess... that I bought this list magnet at Home Goods for $2.50, and it has changed. my. life. I like to keep a grocery list on the refrigerator that I can add to throughout the week. I love going grocery shopping, but I can be slightly inefficient running around like a chicken with my head cut off to the same section 5 times because I keep seeing another thing on my list in the produce section. This list is sectioned, so I can list my produce, cold stuff, non perishables, and misc. items separately. Revolutionary people, just revolutionary. I am so much quicker with grocery shopping now!

I confess... that this little girl has already made her way into our hearts. We are still adjusting to life with two dogs and learning her quirks, but she's pretty darn sweet. Jenny thinks she's a keeper too.

I confess... that I will never be able to watch The Notebook without bawling at the end. Parker and I watched it this week since it had been years since either of us had seen it, and I was a mess. It's just the sweetest movie. Also, don't feel too badly for Parker. We had a Game of Thrones marathon the day before, so The Notebook was well earned.

I confess... that Jenny decided to take a nap in Darla's bed. I kind of think she did this just to prove that she could. No precious girl, you don't fit.

Happy Friday! We are doing the weekend happy dance over here!

  3. Wait, when did you get another dog?! I totally missed this! I've been bugging Nick for a 2nd dog, but I don't see it happening.

  14. Pineapple and chocolate! Sounds awesome. And I love how pets try to get themselves into much smaller spaces than they are able to fit. Adorable!
