My Weekday Morning Routine Essentials

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and DripDrop®, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #DrinkDripDrop #DripDropHydrates http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

I always like to get a glimpse into what daily life is like for others. I'm not talking about the extravagant weekends or the glamorous date nights, but the Monday morning go-to-work side of life for people. I thought it would be fun to share my weekday morning routine essentials. We all know the weekends are for sleeping in and doing anything but having a routine, but Monday through Friday, I am all about sticking to what I know.

Since I work from home, I have some flexibility in my routine. I don't leave myself much time to get ready in the morning because my commute to work is 15 steps into my living room. Therefore, I keep it simple.

Weekday Morning Favorites (pictured below):
Work-out clothes
Cereal, Special K Red Berries or Cinnamon Life to be specific
St. Ives Timeless Skin Moisturizer
DripDrop Hydration Powder

The air has been so dry around my neck of the woods, so I always start my day off with a little moisturizer, and St. Ives Timeless Skin is my favorite. You get so much bang for your buck, and my skin really soaks this stuff up.

I like to throw on work-out clothes right out of the gate because I am so much less likely to skip out on the work-out if I am already dressed. I like to work-out on my lunch breaks, and I just feel more productive if I throw on some work-out attire. It's like half the battle is already won.

Breakfast is huge for me. I have never been one to skip out on breakfast (or any meal for that matter), and cereal is my go-to to kick start my metabolism. I eat it every morning and never get tired of it. If Parker is gone, half the time I will eat it for dinner too!

The last item, Drip Drop Hydration Powder, is something new I've been trying. Fun fact: I used to get TERRIBLE headaches. I actually had an MRI a few years back just to make sure nothing was wrong. I would get headaches daily, and the only thing that would cure them was a good night's sleep. Not the best remedy when it's 9 AM and you have a day's worth of work to accomplish. We finally figured out that my headaches were caused by dehydration. That was it. I just wasn't drinking enough, and that's why the headaches would start up. Knowing my body and that I am prone to the side-effects of dehydration, I make it a priority to be constantly drinking. Once I have a headache, drinking water will not work to get rid of it, but it will prevent them from starting if I take action early enough.

DripDrop allows me to hydrate from the get-go and start my day out on the right note. I found it at CVS in the baby aisle (it's a little known fact that the really good products are always tucked away in the baby aisle). I chose the berry flavor and enjoy my hydration drink first thing in the morning. This way, I am plenty hydrated for my lunch-time work-out and can keep going strong throughout the day.

I like to read the fine print before trying new products, and DripDrop sold me. It has 2-3 times the electrolytes and half the calories of sports drinks, and it hydrates 34% better than water alone. I haven't had a headache since using it, and anyone who is prone to headaches can say headache-free days are good days. The effects of dehydration are no joke!

  1. I'll have to try those DripDrop things! Since moving to NY, I've been so dehydrated! They sound pretty darn good!

  2. Up here in the PNW winters are extremely dry with the cold(er) weather and it is often hard to get enough water to stay completely hydrated. I know all about headaches from dehydration and how horrible they are. Mine usually turn to migraines and like you said, there is nothing worse than starting out a day with a headache that disables you from being productive. I may have to check out if my any of my local markets carry drip drop. I dislike energy drinks immensely but the idea of something giving better hydration than water alone is very tempting. Thanks for the tip!!
