Friday Confessions

Oh heyyyyy Friday. Nice of you to show your sweet self. In honor of this weekly victory (We made it to Friday. That's the victory, obviously.), let's get to some confessing.

I confess... My little sis in Delta Gamma/one of my favorite people got married in May, and I had the honor of being a bridesmaid. I flew into Texas from Virginia and missed the bridesmaid spray tanning soirée, and it was evident. Next time I'll get the spray tan so I'm not three shades lighter than everyone else. Pale girl problems. #SorryLittle

Second from the left could use some color.
I confess... A minimalist approach to life is on my mind. I saw this challenge floating around the Interwebs and kind of love it. I'm not going to follow it to a tee, but I am going to incorporate a few of these into my routine this month. Decluttering equals destressing in my mind, and I'm on board for that.

I confess... I had a girls night with a couple of close friends this past week that I met after losing Taylor. She came up, and I asked them if they wanted to hear the whole story since they only knew bits and pieces. We were all in tears by the end of it. I've told our journey with her so many times, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to get through it tear-free, and that's okay.

I framed this picture and put it on my jewelry armoire this week. For an ultrasound, it's pretty darn clear, and I'm grateful for that.

I confess... I think I am the only 20-something not into Cards Against Humanity. If you've never played it, it's basically a dirty version of Apples to Apples. If I have to play, I get a friend to read the card because I just don't want those words coming out of my mouth. Apparently I'm a big giant prude, and I suppose I'm okay with that.

I confess... This man just makes my world go around. This past year has been the biggest in our marriage yet, and I can't imagine going through this journey with anyone else. He's a good egg, that husband of mine.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Make the most of it!

I am the same way when it comes to Cards Against Humanity! I really prefer watching to participating. One time, I played with a big group of friends and my boyfriend at the time. He purposefully used cards that he knew I would hate to read when it was my turn!

that 30 day minimalist challenge - i love it and want to try it!
<3 for taylor
and cards against humanity...it is really a weird game. some of the cards are hilarious and then you get the ones of "man, that just went way too far"

As a fellow Paley McPalerson I can understand being lighter than everyone on the planet. This is the first summer ever I've tanned instead of burned and I almost don't recognize myself. You look beautiful though! I love the dresses.

I've never heard of Cards Against Humanity.... Sounds interesting though! I'm a big ole prude too... In high school I had to do a skit for class and I had to say the word "boob" and I totally hated it. It was like a big deal for me!

Oh no you aren't! I hate cards against humanity, and apples to apples. They just never interested me and I think to literal to be funny.

You look so pretty (even if you're not tan) at the wedding and I'm totally not a Cards Against Humanity fan either.

You looked beautiful at the wedding! I've never played Cards Against Humanity but I'm scared that one day I will go to a party and everyone will be playing. I hate games like that! It seems like everyone thinks it's hilarious but I think it would be so embarrassing- glad I'm not alone! :)

I do not play Cards Against Humanity. I thought it was a bit tacky until I found out that they have an April 16th card. Nope, nope, nope.
