House Tour: Guest Bathroom Blessings Wall

As some of you have read, Parker and I bought our first home back in June. Being home owners is so much fun! This is our sixth home in four years (thanks, Navy!), but it's the first one we have actually owned vice rented. We have absolutely loved making it our own and coming up with fun house projects to pass the time!

We have taken the decorating thing slowly because we want to make sure we really love each thing we add to our home. In previous homes we've rented, I've always thrown all decorating together in a weekend and called it done. Since this is actually our home and we will be living here for the foreseeable future, I want to take my time. Instead of doing a house tour, or even an entire room tour, I want to show segments of our home that we have put together. This little section is called "Bless Your Guests".

I wanted to do a mini gallery wall for the guest bathroom with inspirational quotes and scripture. I am of the opinion that bathroom decor should be subtle because, well, it's a bathroom. This is not necessarily the room I would choose to plaster family pictures all over, but I love the idea of uplifting and inspirational messages that our guests can look at while they're getting ready in the morning.

I already had a couple of these items and scoured Hobby Lobby for the rest. It's simple, but I really love how it turned out! As silly as it may sound, I really hope these little quotes and verses bring smiles to our guests' faces and remind them of God's love for them.

  9. I LOVE this idea!!! Makes me wish I had a guest bathroom. ;-) lol

But seriously, I love having Scripture verse art throughout my home. It truly does help re-focus during the day, and encourage those guests who visit.

Your bathroom is lovely. Thanks so much for sharing! :-)

  11. So so so cute! We are approaching decorating the same way in our new house. In the past I would not have gone a couple days without stuff on the walls. Whereas we have been living here for two months and there is still nothing hung up. I agree that I really have to love it now to put it up.
