Living The Dream

For the past couple of years, I've had this idea for a photo shoot that I really, really wanted to do. I have always imagined taking professional pictures out on the flight line and knew it was time to make it happen. Thankfully the husband was on board, so my little dream was about to become a reality!

I have a wonderful (and talented!) friend who happens to be a photographer, and she graciously offered to take these pictures for us. I can never thank her enough. Parker and I both absolutely love them and are so excited to have this little chapter in our lives documented through these pictures.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: military life is never what I envisioned growing up. That said, it's no secret that I've completely fallen in love with it (even the hard parts), and looking at these pictures is a reminder of why. This life is the dream come true that I never knew I had, and we just both feel blessed to be living it.

I thought I would take this fine Friday to share a few of our favorites from the photoshoot on the old blog!

  2. I LOVE THESE PHOTOS!!! I can't decide which one is my favorite.... I think the one where you're leaning on the wall and Parker is leaning towards you. I forgot to have Andy bring his uniform to our engagement photo shoot (he left it in the truck in town!) but he's already promised me we'll take professional photos with him in uniform and me in a cute dress before his next deployment.

  4. I loooove these! They turned out great, and I bet you're SO glad you have them now while he's gone! :) I am so glad we took our engagement photos at the airfield when Dan was competing on the flying team... I will cherish those pictures forever! I can't wait to do some later on when he knows what plane he'll be flying! :)

  8. These are so cute!!!! I've always wanted to do a photo shoot like this as well, but I've never really tried to make it happen. Maybe that will be a post-deployment goal. How are you going to pick which ones to frame?!
